Child Safety Standards
Unbot has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out the standards we apply, how users can report concerns, and how we respond. It applies to all content and conduct on the Unbot application.
Prohibited conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on Unbot and will result in immediate removal of content and permanent termination of the account responsible:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), in any form, whether real, generated, or altered.
- Content that sexualises a minor, or presents a minor in a sexualised manner.
- Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to establish contact with a minor for a sexual purpose.
- Sextortion, or the threatened distribution of intimate imagery.
- Trafficking of minors, or the advertisement, solicitation or facilitation of it.
- Any other conduct that sexually exploits or endangers a child.
Age requirement
Unbot is available only to persons aged 18 years and over. Accounts are created using a verified email address. We do not knowingly permit any person under the age of 18 to hold an account. Where we become aware that an account holder is under 18, the account is closed and the associated data deleted.
Detection and prevention
- Content submitted to Unbot is screened by automated moderation systems for material that violates these standards, including sexual content involving minors.
- Content identified by those systems is blocked or removed and the account flagged for review.
- Users may block any other user, preventing further contact.
Reporting
Users can report content or conduct that raises a child safety concern directly within the app, using the report function available on posts, comments, messages and user profiles. Reports raising a child safety concern are prioritised and reviewed on receipt.
Concerns may also be reported to us by email at team@unbotapp.com. Reports may be made anonymously.
Our response
Where we identify or are notified of material or conduct falling within these standards, we will remove the content, terminate the account responsible, preserve relevant records, and report the matter to the appropriate authorities. We report CSAM to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, where applicable, to law enforcement and regulatory authorities in India, including under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
We comply with all applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions in which Unbot is available, and cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.
Support for users
Anyone in immediate danger should contact local emergency services. In India, the Childline helpline can be reached on 1098, and the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal accepts reports of online child sexual abuse material at cybercrime.gov.in.
The designated point of contact for matters relating to these standards, including child sexual abuse material prevention and compliance, is team@unbotapp.com. Unbot is published on Google Play by Unbot App.
